I know... I know

Have not posted in a bit. The old body has had too much fun and gave out on me today. It is now 6:30pm and I am just typing this as I rush out the door to go to the final staff party. The last three days has been a complete whirlwind of everything - events, emotions, work, crap... and now we are all going out for one last hurrah... I am sure that it will be a 'fest' of all kinds - a drinkfest, foodfest, cryfest, laughfest, dancefest....and perhaps even a pukefest when all is said and done (not by me however! If the night market has taught me anything it is that my stomach is now officially cast iron).

A couple of pieces of good news.. 1) we FINALLY got tickets on the train to Xian - off to see the Terracotta Warriors on Thursday night - the adventure begins. We are not sure how we are getting to Lhasa yet... but heck. I am officially on vacation so it will work out.
2) I WENT TO CLOSING CEREMONY AFTER ALL!

Yes. I will leave you hanging. I have scheduled in blogging time tomorrow, so there will be a full (and very long) entry coming soon! Get your reading glasses on, pull up a chair and a glass of wine and commiserate with me on my final musings of my Olympic experience.

I must now leave you, fine readers... it is time to let loose (or shall I say looser? - the last two nights have turned into 5+am in the morning - hence body giving out). I am off to get my dance on for sure and perhaps have a pop or two!

Stay tuned to a computer screen near you... the next chapter in my trek around asia will be coming soon!
